Books + Zines

Dracula

This illustrated, interactive version of Bram Stoker's Dracula allows readers to become immersed in the experience of this story via interactive illustrations, experimental typography, and interactive type elements like letters which are nestled in real, wax-sealed envelopes.

Rapunzel

Staying close to the original story, this illustrated Rapunzel book uses playful typography and sprawling, quirky illustrations to take the viewer along for the wild ride that is this classic, timeless Grimm Brother's story.

DisGUSsions Around Apple (Crazy Taxi)

This experimental zine explores an imagined interaction between me and my taxi driver, Gus, who is a character from the arcade game Crazy Taxi.

Happy Birthday, Julia

In this hand-painted memory book recalling some of my favorite times with my friend Julia, I use various materials and typographic elements to convey themes of play and whimsey.

Blue/ Green Infrastructure

Using handmade recycled paper and Ryman Eco (the world's most sustainable ink), this pair of sister zines explore the differences between the blue/ green infrastructure of the two cities I've lived in: Birmingham, Alabama and Brooklyn, New York.

Midnight Snacks

Highly silly and fun, this simple 8-fold zine draws comparison between food and various parts of the body as a way to discuss indulgence. The various images are visible depending on whether the zine is folded or unfolded.
